I get to get out of this hell hole and go back to California... Since Sunday I have been in Duluth GA on training. It's been the longest week, the training sucked, the weather sucks, & the Saturn Aura they gave me is a POS. The only sving grace was that the BBQ dinner I had was superb. I get in to town around 11pm, hopefully my car was safe at the airport. I then get a day off and Sunday get to leave my baby at the airport again and head to VMWorld in Vegas. The week after that I am in Santa Clara for more training, but I get to drive my G there so Atleast I'll have my car to drive around!!

Sorry, random post but I so miss California (and the car) after being in the South for a week. You really appreciate all California offers after being away from it.

 

What were you training for?

 

Advanced EMC SAN Training, the Santa Clara training is EMC/VMWare performance tuning and something or other. The Newport Beach and Chicago classes were full so my choices were GA or NJ, I wanted neither but picked GA.

 

Cool i woulda went with NJ,

 

I didn't feel like growing a third arm or a tail, so I decided against it

Granted, Duluth isn't great, but don't judge somewhere based upon a week training for work with terrible weather and a worse rental car

I totally agree with you man. CA has soo much to offer. I am currently working on a project in Salem Oregon, I fly out once or twice a month, and it's a **** hole. The place is so run down, and depressing. Everything closes at 8pm...
