No. Intake is a waste of money...

Yea, that must be an additional 20 hp gain right there... add some seats to go with that steering wheel and your car will handle like it's on rails!

ROFLMAO! the car went right off the road and into the tree.no injuries, only a f'd up front end.

Why buy seats when you can go to pep boys and buy those sick flame seat covers for cheaper?

The only things that will be different is the tranny. If your dad's manual coupe is 05+, then the motor's internals are different too. But even still, the intake, intake plenum, headers, cats, exhaust, suspension, etc... will still be the same.

There are only 2 different final drives available for these the G35/350Z... there's the JDM Nissan 4.08, and a Central 3.9 - the higher the number, the faster your car will rev up.

And quite honestly, I wouldn't really bother with the intake. Changing out the filter and z tube is fine, but some aftermarket intake systems for this car might actually lose power.

if you get test pipes, make sure your exhaust system is resonated or you'll be raspy like me
ALSO, do NOT buy those cheap exhaust gaskets-- make sure you buy COPPER gaskets or they will burn up in no time and you'll have a leak in your exhaust-- on the bright side, whenever my car drops below 2.5K RPM it makes a sick 'blow-off' sound from that leak , I BS'd some random dude that it was turbo and he believed it too but exhaust fumes smells like S***

One more thing... get a spacer or some kind of adapter for you 02 sensor or it will be tripping the ECU and cause a CEL and your car to run too rich (trust me on this one =/ )

You don't need any spacers... what you do need is some sort of non-fouler. There are electrical types that you hook up to the sensors, and there is a mechanical type that you are calling a spacer. The mechanical non-fouler can be a simple DIY project as long as you have access to tools, and you should be able to find write-ups on this all over the web... just Google it. They both work great btw... only a crappy electrical unit may burn out...

I was thinking about the same combo of 5/16 ISO term - spacer and MREV2.

People are saying, in order to install MREV2, you will need a revup engine. How can you tell if you have a revup engine?
