Oh that's cool that you're from Sac. I've only been in Sac for almost 3yrs now. We moved from Richmond, got too dangerous. LOL just kidding! I have family in El Cerrito so I'm out there often. Like someone else said don't drive down Cutting Blvd.

Oh, that's it, definitely stay away from the Iron Triangle area. My HS classmate is El Cerrito PD. He's got some stories.....

If it isnt too late to back out? maybe you should check out places bit south of the Emeryville, like hayward/fremont/union city, might take extra 10~15 minutes of drive time but its whole lot safer than Richmond...either way welcome back to Bay area, and looking forward to meet you if you decide to come out for the meets.

thanks for everybody's opinion. i checked the crime rate or richmond compared to neighboring cities and you guys are right, richmond has much higher rate of crimes especially car theft. good thing i was able to back out from the richmond apartment since i haven't signed the lease agreement yet. what i'm gonna do now is just get a hotel for a week or two while scouring the area. it will take about two weeks to ship my coupe so i guess i'll miss the meet. oh well.
