Mariners game might not be a bad idea. The facility is top notch. Unfortunately the mariners are barely a 500 team though. ugh
I'm an A's fan, and lucky me, they'll be playing while I'm there!

Also, Campagne Restaurant looks very good and not terribly expensive.

As for rental car, I'll probably be getting a G.....G6 by Pontiac that is (or equiv). I wish it was a G35 instead.

Food:

-Teatro Zinzanni is great! Bit pricy (100 bux each) but its worth it...

-I work at Anthony's in Edmonds... lol.. good food... Dont get the lobster tho, its a ripoff. 40 bux for a tiny 5 ounce lobster tail...

-My girlfriend also loves the crabpot on the waterfront, lol, I go down there every few weeks with her...

-Another good place is Marcello's on Roosevelt, very good authentic Italian food.

As for victoria, its great! You can see everything in a day if you try, underwater aquarium, wax museum, miniature world, high tea at the emperess, the museum....+ all sorts of gift shops, awesome place! Feels as if your in another country, its so touristy and nice....wait a minute.. ok, feels like your in a much further away country! lol.

When I went up to Victoria, I drove my G which is OB with smoked tails and tint. I swear they thought I was a drug smuggler/dealer. I am young so I must have seemed suspicious.. but ****! I got searched 3 times! Arriving at the canadian border I got searched, the guy asked me if my car was a Mitsubishi....( idiot )

Then, coming back I got searched before I got on the Ferry, and then once I got back into the US, I got searched yet AGAIN! The federal agent asked me if I had any pipes or bongs.... lol

Funny thing is, I was basically the only person getting searched each time off the ferry. The only other person getting searched was an RV when I arrived in Canada...

Sorry for typing so much.

Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville is the place for wine tasting and a tour. It's just across the 520 bridge and up 405 a little bit.

Good restuarants:
If you like steak : 1. El Gaucho in belltown seattle.(it's italian steak house, and it's very dark and ROMANTIC. no windows. When the ladies goes restroom, one of the server will escort you to restroom. hehe. Very formal look waiter and waitress. I been there for about 5 times, and everytime it's great. They have valet parking also). There is some food(steak) that come on a stick, and they lit fire on it and it is good short show and the food is good. (The place located nearby Wasabi Bistro)

2. Metropolitian Grill in downtown seattle. IT's simply the best taste. Expensive but best steak you will find in seattle.

If you like sea food: 1. Antony is good with view.
2. Crab pot in waterfront: only if you don't care about getting your hands on the food. There is menu that comes with the big metal bowl and they just pour right front of you. it's assorted seafood(crab, mussel, shell, potato, suasage, ect.) it's steamed. about ~27 dollars per person.

If you like the fusion food: Wasabi Bistro. It's great place. If you like the rolls. There steak is also great(~30 dollars). But, if you want roll, the vegas roll, seattle tempura roll, barbie roll, dragon roll are good(ave 10 dollars each). They have good happy hour menu 4:00pm~6:00pm and 11:00pm~1:00am(Mon~Thursday)(3 dollar cali roll and seattle tempura roll, 5 dollar chicken kara age, etc). Most of the night, there is some kind of live music too.

IF you want good satay and asian fusion food, Try Wild Ginger in downtown seattle. They have some good satays(so many kind and they are all good). Also, try one of there best main menu, something duck.. I forgot the name but it's duck food with bread and vegie. It's good. You gotta try. You might think there will be lots of grease, but this place cook great, I didn't feel grease on the food.

For mariners game the parking is about ~ave.12dollars. If you are in downtown, take bus or cap or walk. If you drive, there will be traffic.

I like food. hehe I am always exploring new places. I hope it was helpful.

Hey guys, my trip to the Pac NW was a lot of fun! I'll give you a little breakdown of what I did.

Portland - We stayed at the Kennedy School, which is run by McMennamin's, and is an old elementary school turned into a hotel/restaurant/brewery/movie theater. It was neat but as a place to sleep, kinda sucked. The 2nd night we actually stayed at the Red Lion across from the conv. center. Much more convenient. The Brewer's Festival was going on so on Friday afternoon we headed down there. I tasted a lot of good beers and got fairly trashed actually We went to Henry's for dinner and then Kell's afterwards. Saturday, we recovered from the previous night and did the tour at Bridgeport Brewing Co. The tour is great and the beer is good. We then went to the minor league baseball game. Later that night we went to Sassy's and then the "A-Crop" for some nekkid ladies. Some were 'normal' hot, but some were all tatted up and had piercings everywhere - kinda scary in some cases.

Overall, Portland has some cool stuff but I was put off by the large # of bums everywhere and all the hippies.

My GF arrived on Sunday and we drove up to Vancouver on Monday. We stopped at Mt. St. Helens. It was impressive, but the cloud cover prevented us from seeing the whole thing.

Vancouver was pretty cool, we rented bikes and rode around Stanley Park, we also bought some stuff at the Granville Island Farmers Market and had a picnic later in the day, and we saw some fireworks!

In Seattle, my friend there arranged to go to Shiro Sushi in Belltown. The sushi was very good there and I tried some new things. We stayed at the Warwick Hotel that night, and the next day, we tried some Top Pot donuts (good but pricey), then went to Pikes Market, and walked around the whole city. We saw the Blue Angels fly overhead while visiting the Space Needle (we didn't go up though).
I stayed w/ my friend for a couple nights, and he lives near the UW campus. My GF and I were going to Mt. Rainier so my friend offered to lend me his Lotus Elise for the day! That drive was a lot of fun, and it was interesting to see all the people staring at the car and taking photos. Passing was a breeze too. That night, we ate at a restaurant called Pair, near the University Village. It was very good! On Sunday, we went to the Mariners-A's game, and parked at a lot south of the stadium for $10. The stadium is pretty nice. It was super hot in our seats so we walked around the whole stadium in the shade. Note to self: next time I go to a new ballpark, i'll get cheap seats since i'll be walking around a lot.

We didn't make it to the CrabPot or other recommended restaurants, or make it to any wineries, due to logistics, timing, and my friend making some meals. I will be back again some day and will try them then. Oh, we did stop by an Anthony's restaurant in Everrett on the way up to Vancouver. It was their "Firegrill" restaurant or something. Because it was 5:45, we got the early bird special, which was a lot of good food for not that much money.

Thanks again for everyone's suggestions and recommendations. I posted the same thread on a BMW forum and didn't get very many responses! I'll post up a few pix later.
