Anyone buy at Wendle in Spokane, WA?
I just made a deal for a Silver/Willow 6MT sedan with Premium and Winter for $500 under invoice. Haven't heard anyone even mention them. Should I go through with the deal or not? I would receive the car mid May instead of July which is what Tony at Kirkland told me. And Kirkland was unwilling to go below invoice. What do you guys think?
Re: Anyone buy at Wendle in Spokane, WA?
I assume you mean "under MSRP" and not "under invoice." If you're getting under invoice, there will be a line of takers like the one at the end of "Field of Dreams!" But $500 under MSRP doesn't sound too bad for the sedan right now, tho' we've seen posts elsewhere in the country at about $1k to $1.5k under. No such luck on the coupe. My vote is you "go for it" if you want this car the way I wanted the coupe!

Take it !! Kirkland will demand MSRP. I wanted to try Wendle but they didn't have the volume and I'm only 10 minutes from Kirkland but for $500, I would have enjoyed the drive back from Spokane. I don't believe the 6MT has a winter package. Kirkland had no additional charges other than MSRP. Make sure Wendle doesn't try to ding you for any other costs. Good job. ...dean

man, I can't believe I'm such a moron, I was laughing at someone else's post when they typed under invoice when they mean under MSRP and here I do it, yeesh, talk about Freudian slip
Kirkland would not budge but Wendle was willing to go below MSRP because they don't have the sales volume. They get 1 6MT sedan a month and Kirkland gets 2 a month, per Tony T.
And my configuration does include the winter package and I opted to pay the $100 extra to get the full size spare.
Ok, I guess I'll go ahead with the deal, esp. since I will cut 2 months off of the wait time. I'll keep y'all posted.

My apologies. I thought you were looking at a coupe. Whenever I see 6MT, I go into coupe mode. Whether you save another $500 or more, you'll have the car now and be enjoying it for the full summer (?). Just make sure you're not compromising on any of the features/options you want for the sake of getting one sooner. ...dean

Change of plans
I was browsing around the sedan forum and someone mentioned buying in Cali. Well, I called up one of the dealers they mentioned and he gave me $600 over invoice within 30 seconds. So I am cancelling my order at Wendle and shifting it down to Cali. With these savings, I'm gonna add on the navigation. Wow I can't believe I lucked out like that.
I don't mind flying down there on Alaska one way for $100 and driving back if it saves me $2400.

Well, well, well.. Ya gotta like that !! It pays to continue to do your research. From not bad to awesome. And that's for a 6MT sedan ?? That's great. You might seriously consider getting a clear bra installed before enjoying the drive back. ...dean

Re: Anyone buy at Wendle in Spokane, WA?
Sonof: My apologies if you've asked this already, but... Before you fly down to California, have you asked whether the dealer down there adds ANYTHING onto the price of the car? I ran across this with Scottsdale (AZ) Infiniti, where they gave me a price and even agreed to pay for my one-way flight, BUT they added an exorbitant administrative fee and very expensive and mandatory tinting (illegal in Oregon). I asked them a lot of questions about add-ons before buying a ticket. Also, a couple of dealers in California I'd spoken with back in February were requiring you take LoJack systems with the car (expensive to buy, expensive for ongoing service, and inoperative in the Northwest). I'd hate to see ya' fly down there, not have a ticket home, talk to a nice salesman, and then have a gorilla in the back room give you a list of surprises. On the other hand, it's lovely in the Golden State this time of year!. Good luck to you.
Yikes, they're killing me
Wendle had already processed my $1k deposit before I could stop them. That's not the problem. The problem is they ran my debit car twice. So now I'm at a negative $500 in my checking accnt. And they're telling me the 2nd $1k charge is actually my credit. Yeesh. And their response to my overdraft charge??? "talk to the bank, maybe they'll remove it if you ask them." And this is a luxury dealer??? Serves me right for trying to buy from a dealer that sells Fords, Isuzu, Suzuki, pigs, cows, chickens, etc... In any case, after persuading them that the mistake was made on their part, they finally agreed to reprocess my 2nd $1k deposit charge. But I'm out $26 on the overdraft. Lame dealership.
Anyways, I hope the sales guy in Cali does a better job of getting my car.
