I got the Valeos BOGO from Tirerack and they worked well, you know except for the fact that the driver side wiper never had any pressure at the center point where it actually hooked into the arm. And thus it left a nice unwiped area on the downstroke on every swipe smack dab in the center of my visual field out of the windshield.

Most annoying thing ever. Replaced them with the Bosch's, same design, just better made. Best wipers I've ever had, no streaking, perfect windshield every wipe.

I rarely ever use them, but that's because the rainx works and the wiper blades are crap... but when the road is covered in crap and it gets on the windshield they are needed

Yes I use my wipers. Rain-X lasts about as long as a virgin in bed, stopped using it a long time ago. I seal my windows with the same wax I use on my paint. At highway speeds I don't have to use it much, but when you get winter spray or something that doesn't bead off...that's what wipers are for.

I apply rainx application by hand once every 6 months or so and use the rainx windshield washer fluid and it maintains the rainx till the next time i detail (every 6)

Bosch Icons, while OK initially, are getting streaky after a year for me. The best set I've owned is PIAA super sporza silicones which, although expensive, is way more durable and has the added benefit of coating the surface, just like rain-x. Now that PIAA finally has the frameless design available, that'll probably be my next set in a few months.

Funny you say that. About 12 years ago I was cruising around and met this guy with an Accord coupe and he didn't have his wipers even on his car. He used rain-x and said he didn't need his wiper, well later that night it poured down rain and he and his no wiper accord were parked in the bay of a carwash b/c he would not see. hahaha

can't get them black in OEM as far as i know, the aftermarket ones could have potential condensation issues, etc
