Fine so buy replica wheels if you want, but don't fake the funk by putting fake badging on them. Just because others are doing it doesn't make it any less ricey

Wow someone is hating. My girlfriend was driving on bent/cracked wheels. I thought it was unsafe and suggested she buy new wheels. These wheels were:

1. Relatively Light
2. Good Looking
3. Priced right

Is it really a big deal if they have little M stickers on them?

s'all good redlude...don't trip

those are exactly how CSL wheels look like. it's not just badging a wheel with a the ///M emblem. All CSL wheels, authentic or not, have that badging because that's the way it's supposed to be. If you're gonna make a replica, you gotta at least carry the essence over. how is that ricey?

Its rice that the wheels are fake! I'm not debating the fact that the car isn't an M, its the fact that the wheels aren't even made by BMW, but are rather copies of M wheels made by some other company that decided to include M badging. I'm sure alot of Volk owners would be sayinng the same thing if replica TE37's were sold with Volk stickers

I'm just pointing out that lots of people think M parts on a non M car is rice. So where do you draw the line? Non-M cars come with wheels that have M badging on them, so no problem there.

I guess I just don't see the problem with replica wheels? I dunno about you, but when I hear 'rice' I'm thinking non-functional spoilers, excessive stickers, fart cannons, etc.....certainly not replica parts that actually look good.

What about other replica parts? They rice too? Or only replica wheels

ps sorry, didnt mean to drag us off topic

I have no problem with replica wheels or parts if they are presented as that, they have the look of a popular part but dont include logos or badging. It crosses the line of being rice when its an EXACT copy of a part down to the badging. Rota makes some replicas of some popular wheels, but doesn't stamp the WORK name into them so they look more authentic. The company isn't just using a design because its popular, they are trying to pass it off as the real thing, which is rice. Same as a honda with type-r bodykit throwing type-r emblems on, its not rice if you like the type-r bodykit and put that on, even if they are replica parts, but it crosses the line when you install badges to try and pass it off as the real deal
