here is my take - the 350z is a lighter car, therefore the springs for it were designed to take on a ligher load - so when you put the heavier G35 on those same springs, the springs will be compressed further than on the 350z, and ultimately the car will be lower.

^that probably has something to do with it too, but the 350z also has higher springs rates for better handling(at least with tein springs). Although the higher spring rates are usually the final spring rate. The initial rate is probably soft enough that proves your take in it.

i just installed 350z H-techs on my 03 g35 and the rear gap seems to be smaller than the front. no spring mod!!! i am running 285's out back on a 10 inch wide wheel so its not stretched at all, where as before with 275's they were slightly stretched.

edit: im wondering if they need time to settle

I always wondered the same thing. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one.
I am lowered on 350z H-tech's with 25mm spacers front and rear with oem 18" rims. I'm a snug 2 finger gap in the rear, and a smooth 2 finger gap in front with room to play. After a couple months of driving now the front's have settled a bit more and now it's CLOSER to the rear, but the rear is still marginally more snug. NO SPRING MOUNT MOD. I went through the entire thread and it seems like the 05+ coupes are the ones that need the springmount. Seems like you and I have 03's with the older suspension. That could be the reason? I don't see how I could have installed it upside or inside out or whatever. Doesn't make any sense to me. It only goes in one way. Plus the "tein" lettering is sitting right side up after installed.

everyone's drop looks good but...it's so confusing and many inconsistent drops.

Some of the 350z H-techs looks as low or if not the same as the 350z S-techs, regardless if has the springmount mod, different shocks, etc. Sup wit dat?!

I think it just looks similar but i know that S-techs are lower than H-techs.

If you have the sport tune suspension from the 05-07 coupe models then 350z H/S techs will have stiffer fronts and softer rears.

^^ nice drop. Looks like my drop. I wish the fronts dropped more for my H-techs.
