Pics of my grill. Yours better or worse???

OK, I finally got around to getting some pics from the past couple of weeks off of my camera, so here are some of my grill. You can see most of the chips, but I am not an expert photographer like some of you... so if you can tell, let me know how it looks compared to yours.

My car has 2500 miles (3 months) and doesn't look half as bad. I have only one major chip.

If it continues, I will get my grill repainted to a high gloss black.

wow... that's pretty bad... i had 20k+ miles on my stock 05 grille and had 3 chips at the max.

i say strip all that crap shoot factory finish of the grille and paint it black or silver to match the wheels.

Looks like the front of mine too. I'll see what the dealer says when I go in for an oil change tomorrow AM.

EDIT:
I'm at the dealer right now (good thing they have WiFi).

He said he's had a couple of complaints, but it's difficult for them to change out under warranty because it is considered damage due to road hazard. I told him if there are significant complaints, it really should be considered a design or customer satisfaction issue.

The service writer said to call this number to make Ininfiti aware of the issue and to log a complaint: (800)662.6200.

I encourage you folks to call if your grill looks like Sean's. This is way too early for the chips.

Geesh. Mine looks brand new... maybe one very small nick.
I'd say you need it replaced.

Thanks for the info Terry. I had them note it on my service ticket and I will call the Infiniti service line as well. I think its ridiculous obviously. You cant see all the chips in the pictures, but you can see enough to tell it looks terrible.

Yes it's possible. You can order a large sheet of the material from stickercity.com and custom cut it to each "blade" of the grill. The 3M scotchgard paint protector sheets have a special adhesive that does not strip paint.

Sean, I've got 5600 KMs on mine (about 3500 miles) and it looks about the same as yours......unfortunately.

I've called my salesman about my grille issue and luckily his demo with 8500 KMs is doing the same thing. Since he is well aware of the pitting issues first hand he is seeing what will need to be done to rectify the problem. I've also written Infiniti Canada an email so we'll see what happens in the near future. It's a shame because I am 100% happy with my 07 G except for the poor quality grille.
