Mine looks about two times worse than that, and I've had the car for 6 months and 9,400 miles. The car has only been on Los Angeles freeways and city roads.

That's crazy! I've got 64K on my FX (I just washed it today) and I don't remember seeing any chips. Not on the grill, at least.

Mine has one small 'tink' (that's smaller than a chip...) after over two years.

To update: I was near the dealership last week and dropped in. The service guy told me to 'call and make an appointment and we will replace that grill for you'. We will see when I call and try to set something up, but apparently they are willing to replace it.

That's good Sean. Although it's only a band-aid fix, it's better than nothing.

Exactly, thats why I am not in any hurry to call and have it replaced. I figure I should wait as long as I can tolerate because the new one is going to be just as bad in 5k more miles....

Mine's better (knock on wood). Other than dead bugs, I don't have any nicks. I guess it's one of the advantages of living in the boonies - no real rocks or 18-wheelers on country roads.

Thought I'd throw in a few close ups of mine as well (at around 6,000 miles) ...

I wonder what it will look like at 50,000!

Just took mine to Fresno Infiniti today and they are going to replace, no questions asked... I said I did not want another if the same problem occurs, and they replied that the issue has been addressed with the replacement grill.

Time will tell....
