My grill looks like crap too. I am at 8500 miles and the grill is all chipped to hell. I will contact the dealership and see if they will replace it as well. I will be sure to let you know what they say.

Thanks!

EDIT: They said for me to stop by and they will take a look at it. I think I might swing by tonight on my way home, I will let you know what they say.

They are definately replacing it... But is the replacement better than the original as the dealer service guy stated..? Well, only time will tell. I'll post when I get the new one. I will ask if I can keep the original and try to compare to see if there is a difference.

Wink

Ok I took a couple pictures of my grill, get ready for the nasty...

I did stop by the dealership on the way home and the service manager took a look at it. He said his district manager called him a few weeks ago asking him if he had seen this issue yet "where the grill is chipped but not from excessive driving" but that he had not (until today). So it sounds like they are familiar with the issue. He told me he will call his district manager and that they will most likely replace the grill. But for now, I just have to wait and see.

Yeah, we call it Clear Bra. There is a lot of talk about it here as well. Some of are just opposed to having to spend $500-$600 to protect the cheap parts Infiniti stuck us with when we paid for a nearly $40k car.

Has anybody 3M'd their grill? I asked the dealership to do it and they said they wouldn't because when they do it, it comes precut for the normal areas. For the grill they would have to do each fin manually, and they would have to charge me even more for that. So my next question is...for those that have done their grill, do you have a template I could use for each of the fins so I can do it myself.

Thanks.

I read somewhere in this thread that the new grills they are replacing these with do not have the same issue. I guess if it happens again, we can just have it replaced again. heh

Got my "Updated" Grill yesterday from my dealer. He said there is a bulletin on the grills w/ Infinity and they do know of the probelm.

My new grill looks the same, feels the same. Seems the same.

Only time will tell, but I better not see any more chips!!!

I did take pictures, but wont post because there is no visible difference.
