Look what I made. (^_^)
I made a glowing "Skyline" sticker the other day for both sides of my rear windows. It's thin like a piece of tape, flexible, and laminated as well!
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/RkU_0dZZVu0"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RkU_0dZZVu0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
And I'm not even a good with tools or electronics, just ask Randy (caskyline) or Kurtis (k67p67). I even need help disconnecting my battery .
I just used electroluminescent tape, wired to an inverter, and connected to a 12v source in your car (lighter, fuse box, etc.) The tape, wire, and inverter came as a package, but you can buy them by the roll. They come anywhere from .5" - 30" thick to 300 feet long!
I reverse cut out the "Skyline" logo on black vinyl tape and taped it over a 1"x6" EL tape. You can pick these EL tapes/sheets anywhere online. You can even make them different colors and animated lighting as well.
I'm sure I could have went to those sticker kiosks at the mall and have them reverse cut out the logo... but I just did it myself with an exacto knife and lots of patience! Hey... saved myself $15.
I didn't wanna go all crazy, so I just made something simple. My next project is doing it for the kickplates.
Watch the video on this site which explains how it works:

You can also use these to light up parts of your car inside and out... (IMO... don't get all crazy and make your car look like Fast and the Furious meets TRON.)
Enjoy!
