I thinks it more of the way the photo is taken..I think its like HDR or something...you can make the coloring come out that way.

actually its from using a polarizer on the lens. The color comes from offgassing of the paint on the headlight bezel from not curing the paint before reassembly

They actually are like that without the camera. That shot i took isnt an HDR but taken with a polarized filter so it brings out the rainbow in the headlights even more.

To some extent this is true. The colors come from the minute thickness variations in the thin film on the cover that leads to light diffractions. This becomes more of an issue after painting due to offgassing leaving a thin film on the inside cover. I was witnessed this first hand on multiple occasions, and have since resorted to curing headlight bezels for extended periods of time to minimize this effect.
