My friend has an IP and he wants to paint his sides like the Audi R8. I actually like the side blades on the R8 but not so sure how it would look on the G, so I chopped a few pictures of Namrock's beautiful IP.




Now, if R8 never came with the side blades I would think that it's pretty neat on the G but not so sure about it now since it's not original. Is this the same as putting BMW angel eyes on our headlights? Are you considered a poser for doing that?

 

If it was actually on Namrock's car, it MIGHT look good, but that's because of the way his car is setup, if you didnt have the right components, it'd look like complete crap. Either way, you'd get flamed for it. I dont personally like it.

ill be the first to say you might be on to something. im not too fond of your photoshop but the idea intrigues me quite a bit. id love to see what people can come up with

 

I agree, I would suggest the gas door, the door handles, maybe darken the tails, and get some black corners.

adding more dark accents to the car would completely take away from the concept of the side blade itself, that would be a terrible idea.

Hndles and mirrors might look ok. Gas door would b horrible.
BTW, I would make it matte black instead of glossy, and have the wheels and mirrors and handles matte black as well.

 

once again, you would be completely taking away from the look of the side blade and masking it with the other black accents. In essence, you would want to make it the focal point by painting the mirror base and clear corners body color. The only thing that should accent the side blade would be the wheels.

Even on the R8 I don't like it - looks cheap and plastic in person

 

please tell me WTF a side blade is and why you would even consider putting it on your car?
