Two Black Germans - ///AMG

Had the opportunity to work on 2 MB CLS's. One a 09 CLS63 and the other was a 08 CLS 550 with the AMG package. Also got to drive both of them for 2 different weekends, which brought me to the conclusion that I must have a V8 sedan with 500HP lolll

The 63 is a car of its own, I cannot compare anything to it because I simply have never been in or driven a car with that much power (514hp). 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, and the growl of that exhaust is out of control. Handling stiffens up with a touch of a button, and the faster you drive, the lower the car gets. Got a steep driveway? No problem, you can lift your car 2 inches with a touch of a button. Want to feel like you're driving a super car? Throw the transmission into M mode, and you'll break your own neck, throw it into Comfort mode, and you feel like you're in a Bently. Everything you can possibly want in a car, this car has it.

The following weekend I got a CLS550 AMG to work on. It's pretty quick, but nothing compared to the 63... the difference would be like a stock G35 vs a TT G35... yes.. that much. Don't get me wrong, it's still quick, quicker than a G for sure, and will burn tires in D without hesitation, but you'd def get used to it way to quick, and I can see it becoming boring after a while, unlike the 63 that gives you the chills every time you tap on the throttle.

The CLS63
I finally got to show off MY carbon fiber interior wrapping skills, and I'm sure you guys would like it. The fabric is properly stretched, lined up with the rest of the panels so the pattern matches, all edges are tucked, including the buttons which the material does not get in the way of because all the inside edges were flattened out, it looks factory.

I also wrapped the 4 chrome pieces on the 63 grille with the same fabric, I personally don't like using it on the exterior because its kinda cheesy, but it actually came out really sick in person, and I'm really glad we tried it.

Did a blood red tint on the taillights, and completely blacked out his headlights using gloss and matte black.

After talking to the owner and getting close with him, we came up with a few sick ideas that we're gunna get done to his car within the next few months. The car is getting wrapped in MATTE WHITE vinyl, with the headlights redone in matte black with matte white projector shrouds, along with various CF exterior parts. I'll keep you guys posted as we work on the car.

The CLS550 AMG
Customer only wanted to do the headlights, so upon his request I did the gloss black housing, but decided to leave the DTR and projector shroud silver, he loved it. 212 Motoring did the taillight job on this car, and in one of the pictures you can compare how shiny my taillights are compared to theirs.... complete weak sauce on 212 Motoring's part.

Anyway, here are some pictures I snapped while I had the 2 customers over. The pictures came out like total **** because I forgot to turn on my Auto Focus, it was also stupid bright outside so I was hardly able to tell whether they were blurry or not on the cameras screen. Once we get some more work done on the CLS63, I'll do an official photoshoot so you guys can truly see how sick this car is.

Enjoy

agreed, those are hand wrap CF. Great skills.

04Gwhiz - I doubt they make real stable & reliable CF parts for the car unless they took everything apart and make a mold out of everything. Then we're getting into dry vs wet carbon process, which is another story. Definitely a waste for these "one-off" projects. The owners just want some accent to improve aesthetic look of the vehicles, I don't see anything's wrong with that. Even on million dollar cars, they still do handwrap CF interior.
