I paid about $150, give or take $20 or so, for the materials plus the headliner re-upholstery. My friend's grandfather does auto upholstery so he's the one responsible for doing the headliner and wrapping my a-pillars. Since these links, I have done my a-pillars and my vanity mirrors in the same material as my headliner.
Not a lot of work at all. It is pretty easy to take apart your headliner, just make sure you remember where each clip goes, in case you drop any. Part of my panels in the rear vibrates when I drive now, cuz I dropped a clip somewhere and I can't find the thing... but it doesn't bother me since I'm always listening to music anyway.
Just remember that anytime you take apart your headliner, you're always at risk that you're going to drop something or not clip something in properly, causing a rattle. Just take your time.

I don't get why are there little trolls on this forum crying about how the title doesn't match what's inside the thread.
IMO, it matches perfectly.
All he said was he went carbon fiber happy, which when I first read, was that he liked the looks/texture of carbon fiber and overlayed the ugly ( to some people ) aluminum trim with what he likes.
He never said he replaced anything with real carbon fiber.
I think his interior looks sick.
Anyways, back on topic.
My friend's e92 m3 has carbon fiber trim from factory and those aren't real carbon fiber either.
Going to do this tonight, trying out the glossy carbon fiber since my friend's shop got some left overs for me.
