No they're not just regular popups. They've been modified and are "sleepy eye"...so to speak.

And the famous comment was a joke.

A built FD is the price of a GTR or a GT3 RS?? Even if you spend 40K in a shell (they usually go for 5K), you still wont hit the price of a used GTR.

A built 20b swap would cost at least $20k. And then you'll need all the supporting mods. That's where the rest of the money comes in. Still nowhere near the cost of a GTR or GT3 RS.

Unless you buy a crashed GTR or GT3 RS.

Im talking built 3 rotor single turbo polished out, authentic RE-Amemiya body kit, repaint the whole car, Project Mu BBK, Work wheels, redone interior with new dash build in guages, quick release steering wheel, PC'd roll cage, Status racing seats/harnesses, re-do the suspension all the bracing/coils/bushings the works.... basically new everything making it virtually a new car

thats the kind of build I want to do with a FD, thats def used GTR or GT3 area

Instead of the RE-A kit, I would do the FEED Afflux Kit. Don't know why Status racing seats are on your list. Those are made in China/Taiwan. I'd get some nice Recaros to go in there. With the kit Project Mu makes for the car, you'll need 19s if you're going to go with Meister S1s which are the only Works I'd put on the car. The step lip design doesn't allow for the big 14" kit that Project Mu makes. The car's braking is already great as is. Lines, rotors, pads and fluid is all it needs. If anything, Endless makes a great kit that works with stock (size) rotors.

Final packing or embroidery is probably done in Washington, seat itself is not

Just like how any of the jdm companies we know and love don't make their stuff Japan anymore. Things like assemby, quality control or emblem welding is done in Japan and that's how they get away with it

I'm finally done traveling for a while and I should have this beast running really soon. I removed a few things to have modified more to my liking and mounted up my oil coolers. I'll be building my hoses some time this week.
