Sorry about the crappy pics? Those camera phone pics come out better than my digital camera
Haha those pictures are with my digital camera! Shows how crappy they really are when you think they are from a camera phone!

here is the scoop, the m has the power button, but to enable 500 sport mode and get all the stuff taken care of to get the beast going it takes a few minutes.

scroll to 23 minutes. enjoy. all the settings you have to mess with are right there. once you get all the settings programmed in, ide suggest leave them there. pay 80K for a car who the hell wants a 400 hp 550?

(btw, the m6 has the same engine and controls as the m5 so no flaming there)

edit: most german cars are governed to 155 mph.

I am currently shopping for my next car and was thinking SL55 until I had a really good look at the M5. Different cars of course but the M5 is much more an enthusiasts car, a drivers car. The SL55 is an awsome looking car but it lacks the handling of the M5, not to mention the back seat. The fact that the M5 is way cheaper is a bonus.

It is time to indulge and I may put in my order soon. There is a waiting list here and it takes almost a year to get one. I kind of like this color.

I initially thought it was retarded to have so many settings and only 400hp default. But I can now see the advantage of having personalized settings for daily driving and also hardcore performance at the touch of a button.

If I had $90k to spend on a car, I would have a real tough time deciding between BMW, Mercedes AMG, Audi, and Porsche. That's one tough time I wish I could have.

Or the 279 combinations of selectable performance with the engine, transmisson, suspension, and stability and traction control system compared the the benz's 18. The M can be tuned down to 400 horse beacuse a 500 HP car probably wouldnt be very enjoyable to drive every day. Sure the Benz can beat the M5 by .2 seconds in the quarter mile, but what fun is it just driving in a straight line? For $2,000 more you get a better car all around. All this is just my opinon though.
um.. all I can say is.. "OWNED" hehe

Love the M5. Like the M6 even more! I'm not into 0-60 times, its more about torque and 30-120 times that appeal Thats where the M5 does kick alot of btt on the roads when driven properly. Over here in the UK tho', you do see alot of M5's, Audi RS4's, AMG Mercs outside doctors surgeries.....must be a tax break somewhere there.... (must investigate)
