All I am saying is that my car has definately lost power until around 4500 RPMs. After that, I do think it gains. It is louder, and yes that is nice, but I DONT like losing the low end.
Let me ask you this, when is the power loss most apparant? At part-throttle or wide open throttle? At part-throttle, especially right off the line from idle to 3000rpms, a car with high volume flow (turbulent) intake track can feel downright right weak. At WOT, things will improve somewhat because the chamber does get filled with more air, however what happens is that even when the intake has a full column of air behind it, the stock manifolds tuned resonnance can disrupted. This is what causes the turbulence. Nissan did one hell of a job on this intake manifold. It achieves 95-105% volumetric efficency with no sort of variable intake tract technology. It's quite an accomplishment and it has everything to do with the resonnance design of the intake manifold. It's possible that the spacers and plenums could be hurting this overall efficency and trading low to midrange power for top end HP.

I can tell you right now that loosing 10hp/tq from 3500-5000rpms outweighs gaining 20hp/tq from 5500-6500rpms in any race from 0-120mph.

I guess we'll have to see how these dynos pan out. I'm really curious to see the results because I'd love to add some additional "useable" power to my G35.

I remember my car being quicker off the line with stock filter but it seem my car trailed after 3k rpm.
Noticed no difference in anything. Guaging a 'snappier' start with human senses is pretty tough to do.

Hey...not everyone is mechanically inclined.....
Don't you have any buddies who are????

After installing mine twice.....I have it down to a science. Maybe 10-15 min. tops.

It really is not bad and pretty simple.

Interesting. I wonder if there are any ponies to be had by a blown G? Or, would it cause a lean condition?

Don't worry about where I will be posting the results. j/k

I'll leave that up to you guys. I can post them here or start a new jammie.
Most likely, I'll be asking someone to host the videos and results of 2/19.

Hopefully the video will kill some of the skepticism that has been revolving around this heated topic.

What dyno shows a loss of 10hp/tq from 3500-5000 from the spacer? Or are these just completely made up numbers
