Hi guys,

I got the raw data from the G35 dyno day entered into Excel. The plots are looking really good. Gains in HP and TQ all across the entire RPM range! Hi, Low, Mid, Everywhere! I will get it posted tomorrow. There are many plots!

Do you have any plans on upgrading you exhaust? If so, get just a y-pipe. Install it, get used to results and than install spacer again, just for the sake of experiment.

The only mods I had on my sedan prior to installing 3/8" spacer were y-pipe, z-tube and grounding kit. I'm really impressed with the spacer and my observations seem to be in line with what many other people reported. I think stock intake and exhaust are pretty well matched and when upgrading things it is important to try keep that balance.

Good luck.
Sounds like good advice. I really don't want to have to search for this, but does the Y Pipe remove the cats? I can't remember... I'm still thinking about what to do. I am really confused on why I had the experience I did, and everyone else is so happy with it. I really would like it to work on my car. 8 - 10 HP for $135 is a pretty good deal considering other options. I installed it correctly, and everything seemed to be perfect,,, I just didn't get the results you guys did. Maybe I'll try it again.. I don't know. Sorry to be a post Wh@#e

You keep the cats on the car. The Y pipe attaches to the back of the cats and then to the muffler in back. A good aftermarket Y pipe will make the exhaust breathe better and will likely increase the effectiveness of a plenum mod.

These are the results of the recently performed dynos on a 1/2" Motordyne spacer. The spread would have been even higher if the dyno operator didn't cut the runs at 5900 rpm.

I was able to get the engine cover back on with the 1/2 inch plenum spacer.
I removed the gromets and the rubber washers from the top holes of the engine cover. I then inserted the gromets back into the holes from the bottom of the cover and slipped on the rubber washers onto the gromet from the top of the cover. I then placed the cover over the plenum and screwed it in. The hood won't drop shut, you must slam it down a bit or just push down slightly and the hood locks down.

My question is this...where do you order the spacer from? Can anyone give me a web address?

Scobybri,

My web page designer said the web site should be up a little later today!
www.motordyneengineering.com

You can find all the ordering information there.
