UTR tube/K&N filter/MREV...amazing (pics/vids inside)

Hey guys,
Im sure you have seen my thread on the MREV impression I got when I installed it. If you havent and would like to, see it here: https://g35driver.com/forums/intake-exhaust/79786-mrev-best-thing-ever-must-05-6mt.html.

I just installed my UTR chrome G-tube that arrived yesterday, and my K&N filter that arrived today (along with my strup headers, I had a good day today The headers wont go in for a couple weeks as I am unable to do them myself). The UTR chrome tube/K&N filter was very easy to install. At first it seemed as though they wouldnt fit, but the rubber connectors just bend a little and it works fine now. These are amazing sound mods! Performance from the tube and filter are negligable, I thought I felt some, but its probably jsut the placebo affect. It changed the tone of the intake AND exhaust (combined with the MREV ofcourse). This 3 mod combo is AWESOME. I took some pics of the engine bay, and made a audio clip of me revving the engine so you can hear the induction noise. Here it is:

AUDIO
First few times im revving im just tapping the throttle and it doesnt go above 3.5k. The next few times, when you notice the deep induction noise, im stepping further in on the throttle (giving it more gas) but i let off quickly and it only reaches about 4k. Enjoy!

I have one question though:
After driving or revving when the engine is hot, and i push in the clutch (this is with no A/C), the RPMS dip down like 100 RPM below normal idle without AC then come back up to normal and stay there. Should I reset the ECU, or is the car running a little lean because of all the breathing mods? ...Comments, questions?? Thanks and enjoy the pics/audio

Nice, Mike . . . You can hear that extra burst of air as it passes through the throttle body. Wait til you install the rest of your mods. It should sound absolutely nuts.

Ill be getting a dyno done in a few weeks after I get my Strup headers and Crawford HF cats installed.

And yes, the "TSSS" is awesome. I LOVE it. It was about 40 degrees yesterday and I drove with my window down all day and the heat blasting just so I could hear the engine/exhuast more .

I wish my car mdae the TSSSSSS noise

It's faster and louder, so the install went properly, but I'm guessing the TSSSSSSS comes from the mrev plenum itself and not the spacer/iso thermal. oh well, you lucky 05 bastards

That was an excellent audio, Mike. I remember the first time I heard the "Tsss" sound immediately after my MREV install while the car was idling for the very first time. Initially, I had thought that I had done something wrong.
