I would like to give every one the scoup of what is going on with the club. The decision was made that we did not have a good foundation and that is why we have so many issues. This is why you are seeing all of these changes.

I have made the decision to change the name of the club, after consulting with other members to become the SFL G Club. This was a simple business decision, with this name it can include more people, example the 37 guys. When this club was being created that was never given a thought that we would one day have G37's. I am sure with time there will be a future model. Now the club will remain intact and include all.

As far as the foundation. I believe that it was cracked from the start, the club grew much faster than anyone anticipated. Therefore no bylaws or rules were ever created, it was friends pitching in to make meets happen and so on. There were no positions, no leader, no direction.

I am going to change that, there will be no more false promises, or empty statements. Everyone who joins will get exactly what is expected. If you are looking to get your car sponsored or free parts, this is probally not the right place for you.

I want more help this time around, and we will have conciquences when rules are broken. It will be much more efficient, this way. I would like to enlist someone to draft up some rules/bylaws for the club.

It has also been brought to my attention about some faults of myself. I amgoing to be working on my character flaws, and be the best leader that you could ask for.

I am looking to pass on some of my responsibilites, and we are looking for someone responsible to maintain the club account. I do agree that I should not be handling all of the tasks. I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get.

I want my focus to stay on expanding our club, and creating a great atmosphere for the true car enthusist.

I think with the foundation that we setup this time around the club will lose some of the un-needed drama that should not be associated with a car club. We do also need these rules in place so that proper action can be delt with accordingly.

I hope to see more of the old faces that have faded away, and many new ones with the future G owners, many great things are in the works.

Danny

excellent idea on the name change danny. we did the same thing officially a few months back. as far as rules and leaders, it definitely helps to do things as a group. everyone has their flaws, dont beat yourself up over it. but its a good idea to have a small leadership committee with each person doing something different like prez, vp, treasurer, etc. this way no one person has the final say and you get different views before making a decision. best of luck guys, stick in there - you've held together so far.

besides Prez, VP and Treasury, do you know of any other positions that a club would need?

thats the only thing you need, and maybe an event coordinator. if you have too many people, then there are too many voices and then problems start

i will write up bylaws. give me a few days to a week please.

also, i do know that the money is kept in a paypal account with the clubs name. i strongly suggest we open a savings account in the clubs name, for the safety of the club's funds.

Also just to add to what I said earlier, I have moved some threads into the members only section as we will be creating more reasons that people will want to join instead of being and outside influence. In the past meets were open to all with no restrictions. We have had up to 80 cars at a meet about 15 which were members.

I have purposed for the bigger meets members are free where non members have a small fee. We are going to create little perks to stay a member, and want to join as a new member. If anyone has any suggestion I ask that you please voice them. If you wish to remain anonymous please pm me and I will voice it.
