Ignition Coils

Anybody with an extra set of ignition coils?? My car is misfiring and upon checking for the trouble code I got "multiple cylinder misfire". This could be a series of things but I want to start with the coils.

Checked all coils and changed plugs. Coils were all good. After putting everything back the car had a slight miss, almost nothing. I then began checking for leaks and found the gromet under the intake tube to be cracked. I went and got a different gromet that worked, put everything back and thank God I'm back in action. Believe it or not, a vacuum leak in your intake can cause the multiple cilynder misfires. There are other possible causes such as injector problems etc...

Thanks.. I glad it was just the leak. Coils go for 100 to 150 each..

Yeah everything causes p300. I started ignoring that code along with 5 others a long time ago. Glad you figured it out, ign. coils are way over priced.

Guess what, the car continued w/ the problem. I went to Infiniti on Griffin Rd and was told that grounding could also cause it. Going back to the drawing boards...

Have you tried cleaning the MAF? Sometimes that helps. The spray cleaner is like 4 or 5 bucks at Advanced Auto.

Thanks. I'll check that too. It's true what you said about P0300, many things can cause a misfire..
