Sean think you mis understood Chris. I understood him, what he was saying is to have more of the stuff in the members only section. This way if you are not part of the club, then you do not really know whats going on.

This would be an added benefit to joing the club, you would be in the loop etc. Also meets are never manditory nor will they ever be, people need to come because they want to. I would never want this run like a cult.

I do think that we should start doing some more members only meets etc, where detail are only presented to people who have access. You would not be invited to those special meets unless you were a member. Also I will never make this mistake again, we did that once and someone said they would joing just to come to the meet, long story short they came to the meet reaped the reward and never showed a dime to the club.

There have been many members including myself who have donated lots of money to make meets happen, then others who show up, eat hang out, hang out like they are part of the club then never contribute. This is one of the reasons I stopped putting on good meets and only really do towers etc.

About the part that folks didn't put in money,show up and take part in stuff like they paid for stuff in just wrong.. I don't blame you at all to cut back in setting up meets when folks were taking advantage of the situation.

They have actually have a pretty good following down there. When I used to practically live in Davie, I seen modded G's everywhere. Sad I never went out to any meets but definatly know theres a good amount down there. Especially on University and Sunrise. I used to live on campus at Nova so I was pretty close to the towers meets.

 

Yes part of that list, is not active but most still have there cars. I would say there are about 40-50 active members that attend events at different times. Maybe more honestly.

 

o really that many ? im sure we have a ton around here as well but not on the forums .. i saw a DG sedan with black wheels and springs yesterday and i couldn't get to him fast enough lol ... i cant wait to the g club gets cards/flyers so i can tag some cars around when i see them and hope for the best that they come join :-)

It's funny this thread was started because me and another g owner (d.reaper) were actually talking about how we enjoyed the drive to towers more than the actual meet because all we do is just stand around and there were only about 12 g's present at one point. then a few left and few more showed up. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it didn't really look like a club meet more like a bunch of g's parked in the same area. I'm all for the club but I am hesitant in paying my membership I guess from the lack of oraganization in the meets and what I will be getting in return for becoming a member. Please don't take this as bashing the club in any way I just figured I could give my opinion as a non-member so that we can better the club. And what exactly is the fee to become a member so I can paypal it to Danny.

i really liked where this thread is starting to go i agree with most of what chris (calex) said and i see everybody is starting to chime in we have 330 views with only 43 replies soo i think some of u lurkers should say something lol

but on a better note some members only meets like a BBQ or something in that nature would be cool it would get others to wanna join up and on the whole sticker with numbers thing that would be cool but not as important as the main concerns like dues and letting people know what their gunna get from paying dues instead of just giving up 25 bucks well i know thats how most people feel about paying dues

and i agree with danny on we can def use these positions

That true.sometimes some meets could be in Miami. Some don't like drive far. 1. Because of gas price2. Its far.....

 

Me and others live in palm beach n miami would b 2 far for a meet at least for me
