Well i've talked to danny about this and this is just a thought but im sure a few others are thinking the same way i am.. Wouldnt it be cool to actully be a club again???

I've been over to the FGC section and they're doing it, in last last few weeks i noticed they set up more staff to help out with all the people soo im thinking we could do the same thing cause honestly danny is only one guy and he cant be everywhere and do everything perfect example was yesterdays meet

So im just wondering if people would want to vote or if anyone would just like to step up for their area i know danny got ft laud i could handle wpb since i already moderate the FB page...and we'll need someone in mia.... like i said we could make this a vote its up to you guys also we need more things like event coordination, maybe someone who can help get some club sponsors for future raffles etc. If anybody has something they could contribute to the club speak up dont be shy

DUES

Yea i know not many people want to pay 25$ for dues but come on honestly its 25$ and you would be helping out the club with meets, food, and other things like raffles you might even get a cool sticker and its not 25 bucks a month its 25 a year that .06 cents a day

without money a meet can only go soo far lol just think about it

well let me know how some of you feel about this all opinions welcome.

 

I agree we can actually try to go to local meets and recruit other g's.

 

I thought the club already had chapters and board members? Jose, Alex, Danny, etc. I know some aren't as active though

 

We did, but honestly we need some new blood and direction. Anything to breathe new life into the club is welcomed.

My suggestion is more towards appointing people to be in charge of tasks, rather than areas. The SFL area is not that large, I personally think delegation would be a better option.

Ex. Those who remeber Alisha, she would print off a list of people who signed up to come to an even, then check them off once they arrived. Good to know how many people we are expecting and how many showed etc. Such as event coordination.

Certain tasks like that would be more useful IMO. The biggest thing that has hurt the club is the lack of paying members, many people come to the meets, shows, bbq etc and never contribute anything to the club. It was setup to be an annual but has kinda of faded, because the lack of interest. A perfect example was last time we got the shirts made all members first shirts were only $5 iirc because we used some of the club money to offset the cost, to show loyalty to those who have been paying members.

Please voice you opinions and concerns.

There will be a vote at some point in the members section, for some new positions. I think some general discussion and some needed positions should be first priority.

Some potential positions.
Event coordinator
WPB Officer (Could be in charge of setting up caravans and looking for potential new meets or locations in that area)
Mia Officer (Same as WPB officer)
Sponsorship coordinator

I'm open to be more involved. I have two new jobs on deck and school in the fall so that might tie me up but good on all other ends.

I also agree with Danny on the paying members. Events/meets would be more common with that in place.

I'm in contact with both Jacks in Japtrix/HP Logic and Evan at SA. Could also try to score some tire connects locally.

Nice i didnt think people would jump on this post that fast but hey like i said in first post im interested in being the WPB Officer also i like how everybodys puttin in there .2 hopefully this thread gets alot more people involved in the club

also like i said in first post im not tryin step on anyones toes i didnt know we had any chapters/directors other than danny and i've been in the sfl g section for a lil over a year now and in the members section (which is dead other than our random conversation i think the last one was about flan lol) for about the same time i think about a month or so of a difference (BTW I JUST CALLED U CHRIS(tian) I GOT A RANDOM QUESTION TO ASK YOU SOO JUST TXT OR CALL ONCE U GET A CHANCE)

and like danny said some general discussion about the needs of the club should come first before any vote
so if you have anything else to add please do so

also paid dues would give us money to make business cards to hand out to other G drivers we see instead of having a 10 minute convo about how to get to our section of the forum cuz to be honest i gave up on telling people jsut because of the hassle it is to explain how to get here thats pretty much why i made the facebook fan page which kinda worked out

Here's a cool thought I think I saw somewhere. Danny, we could discuss this further in detail if you wish.
Some, if not all members, paying and non-paying, have a "SFL G Club" sticker. I think it would be a grand idea to have member numbers. For example,

We all have a number appointed that we own. It would be a great way to distinguish who's who and keep track of new, old members. We could start a thread in the member section with member numbers in the future.
This thread can include your:

Username
First & last name (last name optional)
Member #
Year, model (5at, 6mt)
Mods
etc....

The cool thing is you could see a possible member somewhere and see his member number decal on his car. Boom. Look him on here and know, who he is, what chapter he's in etc. I find it rather cool
