Thanks for puttin' the day together, Clint! If you're comin' up to Sonoma, I don't see how I can pass on that if I'm in town. Hopefully a few other NorCal people will go.
Thanks for the help throughout the day. I got pretty comfortable with the track after the 2nd session you were with me and then started pushing the car. Sorry 'bout the 4th session squirreliness. Just figured I'd see what would happen if I went in with the hammer down the whole way onto the front straight like you said I should
Starting off a little slower fixed that in the 5th session.
I notched one side of that rear sway down to medium when I jacked her up to change the brake pads. We'll see how that goes next time.
The drive back was uneventful and boring as usual. Stupid state is too big, and there are always too many people driving 70 or even 65 in the left lane cloggin' up I-5.
Oh, and happy birthday to you for real today.

I wish I could have tracked my wounded G too, but it was a smart decision to pass. Fortunately I still got to track other cars and that kept me from going insane.
I haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking our next event may possibly take us to Infineon (formerly Sears Point) in Sonoma. That is another marvelous track that everyone should experience at least once. This one will be through Trackmasters rather than SpeedVentures. The tentative schedule is either early Oct or sometime during November. Yall game???
Andy (Chenga),
You rocked! :thumbs up:
A commendable job you did. Thank you for making my job so simple! Way to represent the 4Ds too. You were really attacking the banked turn after a few tips (bye bye Porsche!). I managed to sprain my neck trying to fight the g-force riding shotgun (no joke). By the end of the night (after our dinner) I was completely miserable. Thanks again for coming down to join us from Sacramento.

Yeah, I can definitely tell with your confidence level as you started to attack the track more. That's what I like to see. No worries with the squirly ... they don't scare me. I was just concerned that you'd lift and that wouldn't be good near those walls. You did good however!!!
I bet you can peg that last section still. The key is trying to create a bigger radius around that section with your line and be extra smooth to keep the rear in check. And actually, a quick counter steer before the rear starts to get out of hand would also work nicely too. btw, I really appreciate your ability to heel-toe rev-match down shift! It's no often I get students that can do that! Noice!!!
bI'll keep everyone posted for Infineon. Should be a great trip.

Holy cow ... was that your front lip I keep driving by on the track???
And your Quaife LSD broke? :O How??? At least they have lifetime warranty.
btw, I check my own schedule and the Oct 6th date is out for me for Infineon. Looks like it will have to be the November 12th date instead. That is on a Sunday, which is actually works out better. Only need to take 1 day off (Monday), instead of two (Thursday - drive up, Friday - track). Hopefully November 12th will work for yall too!

November 12th is open for me as well for Infineon. I will mark it on my calendar.
