Yes. The Carbotech pads would fit the role expertly. It has extreme heat and stopping capacity, all while being extremely rotor friendly. I can point you to the right person at Carbotech if you're interested.

Be sure you also compliment the pads with a good track worthy brake fluid such as Motul RBF600 or ATE Super Blue.

^^That would be great.

And yes, I'm planning to switch to RBF600.

First I need to figure out which brake pad compound best suits you. What year's your G35 and do you have Brembo (if pre-05 model)? Are you planning on tracking with street tires?

I have an 06 coupe 6mt. For now I'm planning to use the stock potenzas. Once I get a set of aftermarket wheels, I'll probably use the oem 19's with something stickier.

Okay. So '06 non-brembo on street tires. The XP8/Panther+ combination will suit you well. Several folks here are running that same combo with excellent results.

What's your e-mail address (you can PM me)? That way, I can sent the folks at Carbotech an e-mail with you CC'd. You can then deal with them directly from there.

Best way to get yourself to go is to sign up and deal with the consequences later, right?

Affirmative. Haven't mated them with the Carbotechs yet (That will have to wait until July), but they're biting hard on the street with the Axxis Ultimates for now. Looking forward to a 3rd/4th/5th session without massive brake fade this time.

I don't suppose there's a place to bed the pads in at the track? Otherwise I'll have to settle for the usual 60 and 80-10mph stops without getting the recommended 100mph stops again. Rather not get pulled over doing 100 while bedding the brakes on the street haha

Axxis Ultimates .... argggh *runs* Those are might dust devils! They do bite pretty nicely however. Problem with bedding at the track is the time needed for the brakes to cool and cure. You'll end up losing your valuable track times.

Which Carbotechs are you on again? XP8/XP8?

XP8/Panther+

Street tires and stock sport suspension. Won't be gettin' too crazy out there. What are you running on the street? I just use the Ultimates because they came with the kit =P
