Clint, I know I promised I would make this one for sure but (and there's that but ) not sure if I really can make it. I just started a new job a week ago and not sure if I can get the time off. I'd have to take Thurs and Fri off since it's a bit far for me. Anyways that track looks super bad *** and not nearly as technical as my last outing although the pucker factor will have gone up ten fold on the roval.

No, not yet. Maybe today though. Last week when I was planning on picking it up, Tony called and told me the engine was making a rattling noise and blowing white smoke. I talked to K&P and they told me that these engines do this when they are first re-installed and to run it at idle for about 40 minutes. I told Tony this and they did it with the enigine not changing. Then the next day when K&P was coming over to check the engine, it stopped and has been running fine now. Like I said, maybe today and then I'll be driving the #@$# out of that engine for 60 days, and then cruising it for the last 30 days of the warranty. Everyone keep your fingers crossed. Oh yeah, and I had them put Royal Purple in for the first run.

If you have the cash for this track, i highly suggest you go on it. I did it last year and was amazing. you can truely push the limit of your car, but please be safe if you do.

I have received several PMs inquiring about what and where to get helmets on a budget. For starters, Speed Ventures does allow the use of M-rated motorcycle helmets. If you happen to know someone who rides then ask if you could borrow them. For those who would rather own theirs and not break the bank, Super Autobacs (in Stanton) have some starting at $99. A few of us here have gotten (can anyone post some pics and model details for our newbie friends?)
