Track is $349 helmet is about $99 at Autobachs no hotle needed so this track is actually not that expensive since it's local. We spent more in Laguna Seca last January because we had to stay for 2 nights in a hotel.

You want to drive without paying and drive somebody else's car while your at it. You're joking right? You're not going to get a lot of takers with that proposal.

I have been asked that questions in the past, but never seem to remember the asnwer to that. Speeventure does allow special arrangements, but I forget it's either based on car (pay for 1 car, many drive) or based on heads (pay per person, share 1 car). I thought I also remember it not being exactly 50/50 (assuming 2 person, or 2 cars) ... there are some miscl. charges. I will e-mail the folks at SpeedVentures and let you know once I find out. But really, there's no free lunch here per se. Generally, you are expected to pay to play.
btw, you can always share one helmet with your dad. Super Autobacs has a suitable helmet for $99. Track fee is currently $340. I'm looking to get us all a small discount if we have enough people going, but no guarantees there.

Weekends are typically more expensive to operate and hard to come by for club races. Once in a while, we do have Saturday and Sunday events - typically at Buttonwillow or Willow Springs.
