Holy crap thats fast... Either he lied and is running more power and race tires or he is one hell of a driver to pull a time like that on street tires.

But who knows ... perhaps that car was also stripped to hell. I wish they'd add tire size and car weight.
Thanks for your help throughout the day; it paid off in the last session when I could put it all together for a few laps. It would be nice to be able to use more than 7/10 of the brake pedal without the tires losing grip though.

The California Speedway is a track I will never forget. It gets pretty darn fast in the roval!

We did nearly top out the Elises's top speed of ~145mph and 'no lift' into the bank turn doing sub 2:00 laps. The 'smoked' transponder was fried during the 2nd half of the day for sitting too close to the exhaust pipe.
We don't know for sure exactly how much below 2:00 we managed. I'm thinking of setting up for Infineon (formerly Sears Point) for November 12 up in Sonoma. However, that will be through Trackmasters instead of Speedventures. A bit unfortunate, since we all like the folks @ Speedventures and their laied back style.
What do yall think? ... yay? nay?
btw, if you like Cali, be sure not to miss Laguna Seca at the beginning of each year.

Las Vegas Region SCCA / Las Vegas Region Porsche Club of America HPDE
Saturday & Sunday September 16th & 17th.
- The most organized and safely run group I have ever experienced.
- The best beginner's group I have seen. They even do paddock exercises like skidpad and slalom.
- Real tech inspection for cars.
- Small turnouts which = plenty of track time with limited traffic.
The only downside is again, the heat.

I loved the new Pahrump. I might even go as far as saying I like it better than Buttonwillow if it weren't so far (from me). That facility is awesome. The track surface is immaculate too. We really lucked out last time w. the perfect weather didn't we!
September is unfortunately a bit too soon for me personally.
I don't think I'll be able to replace my chewed up rear ring & pinnion gear in time. You could probably safely assume that track is going to be in my annual schedule from now on. It's also a nice bonus to be able to party @ Vegas afterwards.
