9) does insurance covers for "**** happens" on the track?
1) Do not get a timer. Getting a timer explicitly means you are racing and insurance never covers racing.
2) Sign up to drive with an instructor. Driving with an instructors means you are a student. ...And student drivers "may" be covered by your insurance. (check your policy)
3) Tow your car away from the scene. If you trash your car, tow it somewhere well away from the track before you call your insurance. Use your imagination from that point on. (Most people take this route.)
There is no guarantee your insurance will cover you, but in the off chance something did happen, it might help.

I'll also add the organizers have your best interest in this as well. The timing thing is not a bit deal IMHO. Often times, all records of your timing will mysteriously vanishes by accident. Originally Posted by Hydrazine

Maybe I'll come and spectate for the day. And maybe ride along with someone? We'll see what happens as we get closer. Paris will be fun. I enjoyed being there last July, then over to London after that. Paris was deffinitely better than London.

I'm really interested. Just checking out the FAQ's right now. Most likely I'll sign up in the next few days.
