I'll know a week before. I don't have much motivation for going to non-private track events anymore

hope you can make it Henry! Last time I got 8 runs in and easily could have done 2 or 3 more - but I got frustrated chasing 13s (.003 seconds off)

This might be the last cold weather attempt for a while.

By what time did you get 8 runs?

Those 3 minute lines at the private track event have spoiled me

I don’t remember exactly... by mid-day I had at least 4... and this is with rain delay (there where still 4 groups)… they got it down now – the new mngmnt issues we were pissed about are pretty much gone – its smooth now.

Look at it this way - you could wait for a yr for a private track... Shawn's gig fell though so who knows when another one will come around.

I have a better one for you though - Big Willow in Feb - Road Course racing is SOOOOO much more fun and challenging! I've got the bug!

But alas, my car is better suited for straight-line blast so I cant let a drag day go by.

My biggest issue with the street legals, aside from the 2 hour wait lines per run, is the fact that I have to leave by 1 P.M the latest since I work saturdays afternoon.

As far as road racing, I will attend one as soon as I get new tires. I'm running semi-slicks right now :-/

I have a new kick a$$ suspension and I need to put it to the test!

they are running groups now, no open lanes... so no more 2 hr line wait. Its gives a chance to hang out and watch others run... last event was actually pretty cool.

Haven't they've always done the groups? Every event I attended was grouped (except for the private track events)

Anyhow, I will let you guys know a week before.

just get there early (thats the bad part - waiting in line in the beginning)... go through tech inspection (which is no big deal, just more waiting)... the go to the pit area (just a parking spot for the day) - and wait for your group to be called... get in staging lanes - it only takes about 20 mins from here now... get to the start line and blast down the track!

For detailed pointers on what to do (such as launch, shift, etc) check out the drag section (too much to go into here).

If you come out we can help you through everything... its pretty basic stuff actually.
