Oklahoma G35/Z Owners Roll Call
265 was the peak on the baseline run. My peak after the tune should have been higher but since we didn't have enough air flow blowing on the engine and the temps were getting high it didn't show much improvement. But it still showed some nice gains in the low and mid ranges.
I might go down to one of the shops in OKC and do a few more runs comparing the base map to my tuned map and see if I shows any differences. Thats the nice thing about being able to switch maps with the cruise control.

Yeah. It's really easy to switch between (you can even do it as you are driving) so I'd just set it to the stock map and do 3-4 runs and get an average then set it to the tuned map and do a few more runs. Just to compare the gains to the other dyno. Also most the shops in okc are set up better for rwd and have better fans and airflow, so it'd be nice to see if that makes much of a difference in the high rpm range.
They are newer so they aren't going to have quite the experience and range of cars they've worked on, but it's all pretty standard atleast for our cars and engines. I talked with chris quite a bit while I was there and he seemed to be really knowledgeable with the software and tunning and everything and seemed to know the VQ engines pretty well.
He was also telling my how they've done 2 370z's with the stillen SC kit and on one they used the stillen tune and the other he tuned with the osiris. With the osiris he got quite a bit better results than the stillen tune.

Here ya go man.

As you can see it made some good gains down low. Then after about 5K rpm the computer started pulling timing because of the temps getting high. He tried to adjust the timing as much as he could, but with the new VVEL engines they seem to do whatever they want with the timing no matter what you tell it.

So theres only graphs for the tq? Which is very impressive!
Hmm so the shop is failsafe but you guys drove to humble to get it tuned? The guys from failsafe WAS the one that tuned your car right? Just it was at humble. haha
No graphs of the hp btw? So the they're probably more used to tuning G35's than G37's huh?
Sorry for the masses of questions!

No those are both HP and TQ. The first one is the baseline and tune together, the second is just the tuned run.
Yes Chris from Failsafe is the one who tuned the car. His shop is only a small one bay garage so he uses the dyno over at Humble Performance. They are like 1 block down the street from him.
Yeah he's done mostly 350z's and 35's I think. He's had quite a bit more work on the VQ35 engines. I was the first G37 he's worked on.
