Borla sold...

welp, i sold my borla TD system today..... (and a few other items...)....its pictured above, with the mammoth 4.5" tips!!

best part was getting to meet a member of the forum, Demonteverde321, and talk the talk for a few minutes......

my coupe is undergoing elective surgery very soon, but i expect her to make a full recovery, and to be up and running (tuned) by the months' end....

nice to meetcha, Ian... i look forward to attending some of the G/Z events, as im in clearwater, an dont have a clue as to what the scene is like (sat nites on clearwater beach is crazy, but im used-to riding my bike, so i havent really looked around at the autos much.....

heres a recent pic of my ride.... (look familiar to anyone?)

Re: Borla sold...

Scott, it was great meeting another fellow G35 enthusiast. I laughed to myself when I saw how many cleaning products you had and the hundred of terry cloth towels you kept because I had pretty much the same stuff (keeping the G clean is a dedicated addiction) at home. You're car really was in pristine condition as if it just came off the boat and thanks for showing me all the features of the NAV (wish I could have gotten one). I can't wait to see your G with the vortech installed. Hope to see you again at a future G35 meet.

Re: Borla sold...

All of this time I've been trying, with no luck, to hook Ian up with attractive, single waitresses. I guess I've been looking in all of the wrong places...

300bhp??? We'll see... 5-22-2004

Re: Borla sold...

I was originally waiting to purchase some high flow cats. That way I'd get everything put on exhaust wise just once. But I'll put it on soon, enough, esemes.

I'm thinking that I might just put it on without cats and dyno it at titan just to see what the gain/loss is. Just waiting for this rain to give me a break.

Re: Borla sold...

Yeah, my RT's have been fine, so have Eagle1's, but others have reported problems. There is a new cat coming out that claims to have a 5 year warranty. Might want to do a little research on that one.

301-bhp!!! ...and growing!

Re: Borla sold...

wait and put the cats on first........

then allow the ECU to make adjustments....

then dyno... this'll show a better overll change in the output, im betting. Since the O² sensors plug into the cats, this will surely detect a change in environment, and que the ECU to make revisions too..... (then drive the *spank* outta her for a few good miles prior to dynoday!).....

the borla (being post sensors, wont give alot of variation (by itself) for the ecu to detect.......
