Just for future reference...

I scouted out parks in south Orlando.

1.Gatorland-- No good, no room for cars.

2. Southpoint Park -- Not much of a park, only possible if can park on grass

3. Shadow Bay Park -- No good...no parking for more than 30 cars total...including anyone else who came to the park.

4. Lake Toho -- Nice park... no parking.

Does Wickham Park have plenty of room?

I am familier with Melbourne but never been to the park, will there be room for everyone if we wind up getting 50 or so cars involved? Or is this Annual meet, just a "meet and greet" of members who know each other from here?

Date seems good. The 4th of July is also good for some.

never been to the park but have heard it mentioned for other meets so I would guess its suffiecent...anyone from melbourne want to confirm?
I would guess to see a MAX of 50people confirm but more likely 20-30.

as for the meet...this is for everyone who is willing to come...i meet with the orlando people every week, i dont need to drive an hour to see them again...we are doing Melbourne to attract the Miami Gs that arent willing to drive 3hrs to orlando which unfortunaly adds 1hr to Tampa and Orlando who both have diehards. IF NO MIAMI MEMBERS CONFIRM, then I am all for finding an Orlando park.

I meant no disrespect by asking whether it was just a "meet and greet" for friends from here...

I just know in 97 we drove to Alabama for a Jeep Fest (not even the main Jeep Fest) and there were 700 other 1997 model year Jeeps. And a total of like 1800 jeeps of various years and models.

So with time and advertising, I am sure we could reach the 100 car mark without a problem. Especially if we extend an invite to the 350Z guys who did the same for us.

Of course, that kind of participation won't come from g35driver.com alone. That is why I was wondering what the plan for the size of this meet was.

no disrespect takin...didnt mean to imply there was...im just a bit sarcastic at times...Ralph taught me many bad things...

I wouldnt be against the meet gettin that large but that would almost REQUIRE a sponser and renting out a park. Expecting 30people to bring their own food to throw on the grill is bad enough but 100 people would need to be catored and therefore a sponser or admittion fee...For now lets stick to G35driver members and their friends and family. Obviously ur buddies with Zs will be wlecome but no need to advertise on 350Z.com

Wickham Park is pretty big, its about a mile square. They host many marathons, ceremonies / memorials, and corporate picnics which are sometimes as high as 300+ people. This is from yahoo maps, check out the measurement scale on the bottom left corner. I drew in a few more roads (yes, most of them are paved) on the map, basically you are allowed to reserve any spot around the lakes. The two smaller loops are for RV's and camping.

I say we invite Gs from all forums but leave the Zs out. As far as food goes, every man/family for themselves. There's no way we'll get 100 Gs. It would be nice, but no way.

ok, if we want to go ahead with this annual thing, then maybe we should call up infiniti and get a mailing list of all the coupe owners. We can make a presentation about G35driver.com at the function and raise $$$ or ideas for a Florida G35 car club. I keep spitting out this club thing. But WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE CALLED "****" RUSS!!!!! I'm sure we could get someone like Autozone/Discount or tires plus/tire kingdom, etc. to sponsor the event. I would be willing to go ahead and call infiniti is i get a concensus as to the fact we all want to do this???
