Anyone had their tranny replaced due to syncro issue in SoCal?

If so, which dealer did you go?
A lot of times my tranny grinds when I shift to 3rd (Majority of times happen when car starts cold or in colder weather), and I also have difficulty to shift into 5th gear from time to time.

Thanks

Ah. I thought it was Mission Vallejo (which don't even exist).
Shoot, it's still a long drive from Fullerton (where I work)......

Anyone done it at Cerritos or Montclair Infinit dealer?

nghiars,
I work in Fullerton so I don't go home until the weekends. I've asked my local service advisor, he said eng for issue such as is does not work on weekend. So, I need to find a local dealer.... hoping for cerritos or Montclair.

Painful.

I think the tranny is ~$1800 plus labor.

Do you guys think dealer would consider replacing the tranny if I explain to them that 3rd and 5th gear are hard to shift into? then maybe on top ofthat I'll explain I get occasional 3rd gear grind.......

Two of my buddy drove my car said my 3rd gear is really weird to shift into (not as smooth) and 5th gear is hard to shift into. Sometimes I can't push all the way far right, but i have to go a bit left to succesfully shift into 5th.

After you describe the problem to them, just have the service guys drive the car. I had them do that at Riverside Infiniti, and they then called me back and told me they were ordering me a new tranny. Make sure you have all the service records so they can't complain about you not following your service schedule.

Later,

Ray
