It is pretty funny. The firework stand down the street has Mexican M-80's. Everything else is totally legal here in Ole Texas. However, the neighborhood home owners association frowns upon launching fireworks, but it never stops anyone.

I use to get them down in Chinatown. Two years ago, the lady I was buying them from got busted. They showed it on the news and the cops raid her El Monte home, they have well over a $1 million worth of illegal fireworks!
It was some pretty shady stuff, we go to her shop, order them, then go to the parking lot her husband owned to pick up the stuff...
But yeah I need a hook up too and someone with good prices!

I grew up in Rosemead and most of my neighbors were Japanese or Chinese. They always had hella good fireworks. We only had lame Red Devil fireworks and sprinklers and crap. But when I was like 13, we took a trip to Yellowstone(Wyoming) and my dad bought rockets, m-80's, some wierd flying things, and a brick of firecrackers. It was sweet.

Go to Area51 Fireworks in Pahrump, NV. Get the Excalibur Morter set. You get two kits for about $100. Each kit contains 24 shells. The best breaks and chest pounding thumps when they go off. I've been making trips every year out of state to get the "good stuff". I didn't make it out this year and only have one kit left this year so I can't sell it.
They're open till midnight right now and they sometimes go 24hrs the days before the 4th.

One word of caution is that the CHP is looking for people bringing fireworks home with them. Don't go the back route home as they are patroling that more heavily than the 15. Put your front plate on and drive the speed limit and make sure they are in the trunk and out of sight. I usually pick my fireworks up around May each year to avoid all of this.

Another good kit is the Rambo Kid
