i took video of the harris fires from UTC. It was clear as day in the middle of the night. I posted it on Youtube. never realized how close Chula Vista was till I saw it on fire

 

man...i swear this thing is out of control. the last 2 days was hell. i didnt go to work, had no power. canyon country is burning down

but things are getting somewhat better..

bad news, they're showing on the news right now that the Harris Fire is burning towards Spring Valley. They have a wall of firefighters and helicopter's waiting for it in order to protect the homes in the area, hopefully the wind doesnt pick up.

I'm across the way from Qualcomm. I have a family friend that's a firefighter from the bay area. He's at Poway High School right now and said that they've got most of the threats in poway taken care of.

Ryan, i've been back for about 40 minutes now, they stated on the news they were letting us back in... woohoo!! Shawn dropped by my house to make sure we got back in and everything was ok, he said he was on his way to your house after.
