The day looks depressing. Our whole sky is filled with smoke.

i'm glad that Grant and Ryan your houses are O.K. didn't have your numbers to call you...glad you 2 are O.K. We had a scare because the fire was burning on Mt. Helix which isn't far from my house. We are O.K. for now. But you never know...

My work location is probably the farthest point from all the fires in Southern California according to the MSN map. Yet I can still see the polluted sky. This is really sad.

Hope The G Family Makes it out Safe and Sound..... Major Props to the Fire Men. they are TRUE Heros risking their LIVES for others that they Don't even Know.

Seen/experienced many fires down there in my day. Originally from SF Valley, but this is crazy stuff.
Don't remember it ever being this bad and so many places at once.

Good Luck to you all and hope everyone fares okay.
Read in my local paper, many fire Departments from our area are on their way and some already have arrived to help you guys out.

Not my school

Grant, glad all is well with you. Congrats. I'm sent an SMS to Ryan to check on him. Sounds like most if not all of us came out of this alright.

The classes that were canceled on Monday and Tuesday are going to get rescheduled for later this week. This week is finals so they really don't have a choice. They could just give us all A's

Hey everyone,

My home in RB is still standing I think, maybe some smoke damage. Monday morning I was woke up to the police cruiser telling us to get the f@CK out RIGHT NOW!!!! We had less than 5 mins to get out. As I opened the door plumes of thick smoke were blowing accross the lawns and the sky was bright red and it was loud, full of rumbles. My roomies and I grabbed our files, some clothes and bailed out. We litterally had to dodge fire's on the side of the streets in order to get out. **** was intense. Fire was only 30 yards away from our front door.

We fled to my parents house in Scripps Ranch where later in the day we had to evacuate there as well. We ended up in Mira Mesa at a friends house until this afternoon when SR was opened back up. I am at the parents house still, since our neighborhood in RB is still closed off. Not sure when it will open up, hopefully tomorrow.

Glad to hear that everyone is safe. Good luck to thoes who are still in a state of evacuation. Hope we can all get home soon.
