So I recently got rear-ended as well...Attached is a picture of the damage...

Today I was told that it's fixable???

I would rather have this car be totaled due to the unreliability that usually entails a fixed car...does anyone have experience with this and have any suggestions in terms of having the car totaled versus being fixed?

Well they are not gonna cut you a fatty $30K check when they can fix it for $12K or so.

As far as reliability, it looks like all the damage is cosmetic on the rear so that argument is not gonna fly either.

What might work is taking it to a few shops and getting detailed quotes. Theres a lot of damage there and might be quite a few things that are not visible until the outer panels are removed. I'd get written quotes, take it to a shop of your choosing, and then see if the insurance company changes their position.

So i just got a call from AAA a few days ago...initial estimate of $21K in damages and they told me "it's only going up from there"

Looks like I'll get about $25K for the car...thinking about getting a black g37s

May my G35 R.I.P.!!!!
