No pity for tow truck drivers!!!!!!! Beware long rant!!!!

I recently went to my buddies house which is in a mobile home complex and parked in guest parking. As I was coming out I see two tow trucks by my car. One had already lowered one of those boom lifts under my car and was ready to lift my car. I had my car parked nose in so they were trying to lift from the rear. I was polite at first stating that I'm a guest and was here visiting. Dumb truck driver made a stupid claim that I had been parking here for more then 24 hours that was allowed for guests to park. I told him no way it has only been two hours most. We argued back and forth till I noticed that the boom lift thing on the tow truck was rubbing on my exhaust canisters, and since my car is pretty low they will scrape the chit out of my front lip. They offered me a pay off of $50 cash which he would probably pocket. At this point I was pretty heated so I snapped and started acting like a dick. I went in my car pulled out my camera and asked them if they are responsible for damages they cause while towing. The driver said of course they do and I wouldn't need to worry about that. So I went ahead and pointed out the damages they will do if they towed my car. I told them that my X02 exhaust was about "$5000" and my front lip is going to be about a grand painted. I told them go ahead tow it and I promised them my lawyer will be calling them first thing in the morning. I kept pressuring them to tow my car, then his attitude changed a full 180 and was saying oh I'll just let you off with a warning and don't do it again, I kept insisting they tow the car cause if they didn't it would be a lost cause for them driving here just to tow my car. They just ignored me and lowered his boom and drove off. Any of you around Westminster/HB area beware of "Medlins towing", they have a long file of shady business and was charged for a couple of felony crimes. Sorry for the long rant I'm just venting cause most tow truck drivers are crooks, also is it legal for them to slim jim someones car to lower the E braks?

I would have pulled out my 4d cell mag light and knocked both drivers the f*ck out for that kind of bs. Those guys are in it for the money which is about $40-50 per car they tow.

I have an experience with medlins. They towed my MR2, I was parked at my ex's visitors parking for 45 mins. When I went out its gone, I went straight to their compound (I think its at westminster near westminster lane bowling alley) paid $250 for the towing fees, this was like 6 years ago...

good thing they let you go with a "warning". i would of sucked to have your car towed. cause you would of have had to pay all fees, then fight them in court to get your money back.

Nobody says they must appear, so they don't really have to pay.

What's up with tow truck drivers? I live in a gated community and one night I was parked in front my garage washing my car, I see a tow truck pull up while I was in my garage getting some cleaning products. He realizes I was there and says "next time turn on your hazards or I'll tow you". What a douche.
