you know what's lame? (vent)

my 04 coupe with 32000 miles is suffering from the dreaded power door lock actuator failure.... does anyone think any infiniti dealers will give me good will? hahaha ahhhhhh just a vent.

um if it is still under warranty any dealership will do it... mine just expired in August... you may still have a chance!

I have the same problem and my warrenty just expire and the dealer wants around 400 bucks to fix

there is a DIY to this fix... pretty much the same method the powerdoorlock/alarm/stereo guys use... some alarm place near my house quoted me 55 a door.

If you think that's annoying - BOTH my power door locks and BOTH my power windows have failed. Do you know how embarrasing it is to open your doors like a 86 Honda Civic then tell your passenger "Sorry, windows dont work".

As the poster mentioned, any stereo shop can install the generic power door locks - problem is that they are indeed generic. I did the DIY mod the motor failed after 3 months. My boss has gone through FOUR of these "stereo shop" motors on his own car.

Buying a new one from a dealer is the best thing to do. Riverside Infiniti seems to have the best deal so far.
