HFCs in CA

So will HFCs pass smog in Cali?
Has anyone actually been smog tested with HFCs installed and passed?
I'd love to get HFCs but don't want to have to uninstall them everytime I need to get smogged.

I've searched and can't find any info.

I thought visuals were only conducted by the state ref and not just an ordinary smog test (?).

smog checks for renewing your registration has the visual test in addition to the sniffer test. I just had it done on my other car.

Yes.

There are a few places that can pass you regardless but they are few and far between.
