clothing= try the outlets in Cabazon or Calbasas..they are a bit out of the way from LA but no more than an hour.

Jewelry= there is the jewelry district in down town LA and there is also a Member here that owns a store down in the district.

Stay away from cities such as Compton, South Central Inglewood

Beach cities to visit Huntington Beach, Hermosa, Santa Monica take a drive up PCH(Pacific Couast Hiwghway)

Museum= The Getty

I know other members will fill you in

If you don't mind hanging out with a bunch of Asian people try out China town in LA. Lots of cheap stuff and food. When you see a chinese sign with "Dim Sum" try it out! It is REALLY good there! It is usually served from 8:00AM-3:00PM.

If you want to driver into OC with is Huntington Beach, Newport there are a few stuff around here that is cool like bars and whatnot.

Huntington Beach: Main Street has a lot of stuff.

Newport: Triangular Square has lots of bars/food.
Or just go to the Beach(right at the pier there is this donut shop that has some BOMB *** ham and Cheese Croissants. The owner's name is Peter he is totally cool!) They have some really chill bars

Santa Monica: The Pier with the new Ferris Wheel which is really cool.

Fullerton: Downtown Fullerton which has a lot of bars/clubs.

Costa Mesa: I think Fashion Island is there. Your GF should really like it there. Lots of shopping places. a little expensive but really nice place to shop. Or South Coast Mall

There is a lot of good food places too in OC also. Send me a PM if you want me to name a few. Hope you enjoy So Cal!

Do you have a GPS? If so, I suggest to get one and one for your GF too.

Then memorize all of the cities to avoid. In addition to the cities that Mextep mentioned, avoid San Fernando, East L.A. Baldwin Park, La Puente, El Monte, Watts, Panorama City just to mention a few. Long Beach is another one, but that town's not as bad as it used to be. But still be careful.

Good luck and keep your doors locked, even your cars.

Oh, and the shopping the guys mentioned are good places too.
