*** Dyno Day ***

I have recieved numeral PMs regarding dynos and a few more expressing interest in a Dyno Day. So, during my dyno session today, I had a chance to speak with the owner of the facility regarding a Dyno Day for our community and he gave the green light

Now the question is back on you guys ... what date would you guys like this to take place? The cost for the dyno run will vary depending on the number of cars attending. All runs will have 3 pulls on the dyno with accompanying wideband AF readings.

under 10 cars: $55
10-15 cars: $50
15-20 cars: $45
...etc.

If people are willing to take one less run, as in only making two run, it will cost $5 less (not worth it IMHO).

Please let me know and vote on a set date.

Re: *** Dyno Day ***

Ohhh god, that was a major brain fade by my part. It would certainly help if I post the location of the dyno facility wouldn't it?

Church Automotive Testing
20950 S. Normandie Ave, Suite K
Torrance, CA 90502
(310) 787-7123

The place is near TechnoSquare in case anyone's wondering.

Thanks Clint, You set this up after I set the appointment with him while you were there. j/k. At that price I would probably do it again.

Re: *** Dyno Day ***

Gosh, so sorry Tery. We'll kindly ask Shawn to give a couple of extra runs at the dyno ... or this is a good call for you to add more MODS in the meantime, so you can find out how much power they are making

Cheers,

Clint (THX723)

Re: *** Dyno Day ***

Ok. For me, the weekends in August are booked up. I have a couple Friday's off. In September is also looking bad too. So, since me and prolly a few others have a packed up schedule, I will leave this to you guys. Thanks!

Re: *** Dyno Day ***

Here are the dates currently available. Weekends are more probable as most of us work during the week (grayed out). I axed the days that are conflicing with you guys (uhm mmmm ... alagolfer) and will continue to update the pic untill we can settle on a good date. So far, any of the September weekends' looking good.

By the way folks. I forgot to mention DynaPack dynamometer will be used. (For conversion to DynoJet number ... subtract 10hp to get a good estimate)

Re: *** Dyno Day ***

Any of the first 2 saturdays in September is ok with me.

For this dyno, do they take off the wheels and measure at the hub?

Re: *** Dyno Day ***

Yes, the wheels are removed and the dyno bolts directly onto the drive axle, thus eliminating tire-to-roller interaction error and losses.

I've marked down the first two Saturday in September as possible Dyno Day.
