Stupid Trunk Problems!!

Hey guys,

For the Past 4 days my trunk has not worked. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what is wrong. I did not check all the fuses as I cannot locate which one is the fuse for the trunk. At the moment I don't even think we have a fuse for the trunk. I checked the wires as mentioned in this thread.

If you guys got any thought please chime in as I am so close to taking this car in to the dealer. It's almost Christmas and I didn't even finish shopping yet... can you imagine shopping and having the climb into the car, then crawl to open the trunk through the rear seats. Good god. I am dying here haha... help!

Update.

Okay I give up. I just tore the trunk interior to check the wires connecting to the release and all seems fine. But there is a constant 12V going to the trunk, is that normal?

I'm stumped, I think I am going to take the car into the dealer soon.

anyone want to buy a car?

If more crap comes up I might just sell this thing. f0vy 9ghemrhelpfovfigvnfgr

^Same thing just happened to my moms 06. There should be constant power to the trunk that's normal. I had to crawl through the back seat to open it. Haven't really taken a good look at it though. If someone could chme in who's had this problem that'd be good before i start tearing shiit apart trying to fint the issue. I did notice that her trunk has a small leak and the trunk panel was a bit wet so i'm thinking that contributed to it.

I have a Z and same **** happened to me, LOL i actually took my trunk/hatch actuator apart, the motor is spinning, constant power, but somehow the gears inside the actuator were loose and not engaged and it was missing a screw =/ so I just put like a 3mm screw in there, lined up all the gears and it works fine. I was going to go to the nissan dealer as well, but I called and asked, they wanted to charge me 300 for the freaking actuator im like fk that. So if you guys need help, lmk
