Precision Z in Canoga Park (818) ftmfw

Hey everyone, just a quick review of my experience at Precision Z yesterday. Let me say I'm very impressed. Sean is great and very knowledgeable about the Z's and G's, they do everything from simple installs to full racecar builds. Their alignment rack has the extended ramps for all really low cars. Definitely a high end shop that knows what they're doing. Anyone else have any experiences with them? post up!

Based on my first experience with them I'm very impressed and anyone in the LA area that needs an alignment or more extensive suspension tuning (they offer corner balancing) and installs, they definitely know what's up.

I'm pretty much a lurker on this site, but I gotta give it up for Precision Z. Ed, Brian, and the rest of the guys are amazing and know their stuff. Never heard anything bad about them.

Meh.

They gave me an outrageous quote on a compression rod install and alignment.

if you are going to do light tune ups n etc. they are fine.

here is my story.
i spent $5400 replacing my engine there. will not do business again. very pushy. STAY WAY. I did not gave them the "go ahead and replace my engine" word, but told me I did over the phone (engine was already out of the car). what the ***? so I was basically stuck with my car without an engine in their shop. nightmare. even after my engine was replaced, they some how messed up my alignment so bad, the car was making left turns when holding the wheel straight. they told me it was "like that", "go get it fixed from an alignment shop"... I am a student, coming up w/ $5400 is not easy. they told me they will put it on a lean if I didnt pay right way.

their prices part prices are really high too. when HKS hi-power was running around $1200, they quoted $1500.

don't get me wrong, they know our cars. but how they run the business? *** it.

Damn I was looking for a local mechanic too. Till I read xkoraznboix experience with them, I will stick with my guy in Alhambra. Good post.
