So last night, i took my car to R&J in Carson. After 2 hours of chiseling, Ralph (the mechanic) FINALLY got the broken lug nut off!! Every other shop I went to wasn't able to do it. But he did it! The price was also unbeatable. The failed shops were charging me $200. Ralph charged me $120.
Yea, just letting you guys know whats up. After 7 months of unable to remove the wheel.

haha wow. I ran into this a little late. i had to do this on my g last weekend. Same exact problem... my friend used an impact to tighten my lug and it would not come off. Ended up just taking a chisel to it for awhile along with a drill. Rim got pretty beat up, and so did the chisel, but at least i got my rim off. Glad you were able to fix this horrible problem, one of the worst things i have had to fix...so much hammering

That's exactly what happened to me. First started chiseling to get to the stud, then drilled, then I just kept hitting the stud with the chisel until it broke all the way through. took about an hour and a half. those nuts are not made to shatter at all, the metal just folds over itself.
