so to everyone who was at the dyno: basically, multiply your numbers by 1.3-1.35 and you will see your power at the crank.
By doing this calulation, we will see the numbers we got on a DYNAPACK, but not the numbers we get at the crank. Here, I got 296/279ft...on a dynapack I got 388/335ft. The crank power is right around 450 on a dynapack.

It is a cable modem, be nice. No promises on reliability/uptime.
Need to set your permissions on that folder...can't access.

Morning Randy. Do you feel a bit better now that NuttyProf came up with that equation?

because it was on a Mustang dyno and they read numbers dif. I only made 296hp and 279 ft lbs there! I won't try to understand why it is that I get 388/335 on my dyno and 296/279 on another, but the other Vortech G that was there was within 6 ponies of me 291/275?, so I know it was consistent. That guys machines was off a lot too. For example, it read Terry's (RedondoG) at 255/355ft with a 100 shot of happy gas. Now, I'm not sure of that was a spike that was recorded or what, but mathematically speaking, it's impossible to have those variables. Overall, I walked away with NO useful info for my car for the day. However, I'd pay $50 any day to hang out with the group we had there. Everyone was cool and really great to be around. If this is any gauge as to how next Saturday will be, man, I can't wait.

LMAO! Turbo Flakes! j/k

Looks like yall had a good time. Sorry ... I couldn't make it either (which why I didn't sign up for it). Lots o sweat running a D-day huh Dizz??? Now ya know!

I wouldn't get too worked up by the 'low readings'. That's just how the Mustang Dyno reports its number. It is not to be confused with a DynoJet or a DynaPack. The important thing I've noted (from reading the prior posts and from some of you) was it did show good precision. Two Vortech guys were within ~5hp from each other. It is the 'delta' (pre/post mod) numbers that matters. those who only went for a simple baseline pull (no pre/post mods) walked away w. a little less, as the numbers are not comparable with DynoJets or DynaPacks. However, you can still loosely use the formula NuttyProf. came up with to figure the crank number and see where you stand.

That sexy *** IP coupe w/ the HRE 448's is mines.
Thanks for the pics Dave. Just to remind you again, you got a good woman there.
The only thing Donna complained about dyno day was how Pete was burning up the clutch.
