Ray,
I'm planning on leaving my house (by the Chino Hills gtg location) around 9:00, 9:30-ish. You are more than welcome to rendezvous with me at my house, which is on the way. Maybe Glenn will also join us too?

The 5 and 405 does meets down south, but it also meets up north near the Magic Mtn. area. That's the spot we're talking about!

Negative Randy! No love for you since you ditched Socal for the country of Texas! ... j/k!

Look at that beaut! I bet I can drift that baby around the Andretti hairpin pretty nicely. Hex on you for no longer being around. The track misses you and the 'sold' G!

Yes, that is the truck I'm replacing the G with. Picking it up today. No, the G is not sold yet. The buyer who chose BUY IT NOW on eBay flaked and I'll need to relist it. If a person from SoCal buys my G, I'll be there.

Clint:
I will try to hook up with you somewhere along the 210 or 5. Otherwise, I will get to you by cell phone and try to connect along the larger route.

The precise timing for me is complicated by the rebuild of my car and whether in fact it will be done. The motor may not be sufficiently broken in to warrant a push at the track, though I still think I would like to go and at least mosey around and have some fun.

Have you finalized the full route? Are you going to hook across to the 101 at Paso Robles, or go another way in to Salinas?

I am going to stay in Pacific Grove this time, so at least when the police call on disturbing the peace, public drunkeness, brandishing a firearm and exhibition of speed in the parking lot comes in to your motel you will have to talk your way out of it without me this time. (oh wait, you don't play football for W. Va....never mind).

Noooo ... not one of them Mountaineers here Ed! It's all just a part of the show Glenn.

Ed,
Would love to have you join the convoy ... makes for a more efficient trek to destination being able to tuck behind and draft off that turbo wedge of yours. The folks at S2ki has the route planned and plotted. The quick 'n dirty version is 5N -> 46 -> 101 -> Salinas. So yes, looks like we're cutting through Paso Robles.

I think I will give you a ring tonight for a little bench racing ... among other things to talk about.

-------------------------

For the rest of yall, here's the tentative plan for the entire weekend is as follows:

Thursday
All track junkies gather in Sylmar @ 11am.
Lunch, tank-up, stock-up, etc.
Leave LA behind and make way for Monterey/Salinas.
Arrive @ destination in the evening.
Check into hotel/motel, wash up and get settled in.
Meet in downtown Monterey for a nice dinner; get aquianted with everyone.
Optional poker game being hosted by the S2k boyz back at the motel.
Get some good night sleeep!

Friday
Wake up before the crack of dawn.
Breakfast!!!!!!!
Arrive at Laguna Seca by 8am.
Track like a madman.
Break for lunch (FREE).
Resume being a madman on track until they kick us out.
Back to the hotel/motel for a quick wash-up.
Meet back in down town Monterey for an exquisite dinner feast! Alchocolic beverage highly recommended.
Sleep like babies

Saturday
Check out of hotel/motel
Head down towards Paso Robles for wine tasking tour(s) and lunch (details being worked out).
Stick around long enough to have another nice dinner.
Find a place to crash over

Sunday
Begin the journey home via the scenic route.
Stop by Solvag for lunch.
Continue on home!

The End.

Got my helmet now! Of course Aidan wanted all the toy cars they had there. We bought a couple and when we were leaving, he decided that they should let that F1 car down so he could sit in it. Crazy kid! Any way, see you guys tonight in Chino Hills.

Later,

Ray
